Our pets are an important and integral part of our lives. They not only provide unconditional love and companionship, but they also help reduce stress as well as increase social interaction and physical activity. For some individuals, pets are their primary companions. Unfortunately, for many, the cost of providing even the most basic care for these companions is a financial hardship.
At the Rainier Animal Fund (RAF), our goal is to help those who are unable to afford the full cost of advanced veterinary care for their pets. Qualifying western Washington residents will be able to access the RAF FREE “in-service” advanced care and surgical clinics as well as apply for medical grants to assist with individual veterinary care on a case-by-case basis.
RAF’s clinic services will include surgical care such as dental care, mass removals, fracture repair, spays and neuters and other advanced care. Urgent care, as well as surgical treatments of some emergency injuries and conditions, are reviewed and supported on a case-by-case basis through our in-service surgical clinic or through our grant program.
(It is important to note that the Rainier Animal Fund is not able to respond to timely emergency requests. We will do our best to respond to each potential case within 48 to 72 hours.)
