Partners Come Together to Host Pet Vaccine Clinic

Partnerships are essential to the success of any nonprofit. Through these connections, not only are we able to fully realize our vision, but we are able to expand our reach exponentially. In turn, we are able to provide the same level of support to our partners so, working together, we can make the largest impact in the communities we serve.

To that end, the Rainier Animal Fund was thrilled to once again partner with the City of Bothell Police Department, Bothell Pet Hospital and the Petco Love Foundation to host another FREE pet vaccine clinic in Bothell, Washington on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at the City of Bothell police headquarters.

At the event, qualifying low-income pet parents were able to have their pets examined by a veterinarian and get them up-to-date on their canine DAPPv, feline HCP vaccines, rabies vaccines and microchips; all in an effort to help prevent the spread of such deadly diseases as parvovirus, distemper and panleukopenia. This larger effort is all part of the Petco Love Foundation’s commitment to vaccinate one million pets nationwide and the Rainier Animal Fund’s focus on ensuring access to essential veterinary care for Washington families.

The team from Bothell Pet Hospital came out in force to care for the pet’s participating in the clinic. They were joined by the cadettes from the City of Bothell Police Department and the Rainier Animal Fund volunteers; thus ensuring that, as a team, we were able to care for the nearly 120 pets participating in the free clinic. Truly, they are all heroes who gave selflessly of their time to help local community pets in need of basic care.

Photos from our team and our wonderful clients follow:

Plenty of cats stopped by as well. Of course, some had a more reserved approach to the clinic.

We did have a special guest at our clinic; City of Bothell Police Department K9 Allegro (“RO”). Come to find out he needed his microchip. Always a good ambassador, Ro was a great patient and ready to do his part to raise awareness on the importance of microchips.

And, of course, we cannot thank our clinic vendors enough to turning out to show their support! Big thank you to MudBay, The Hop and the Hound, Blue Dog Pet Designs, City of Bothell Fire Department, City of Bothell Surface Water, Pinkabella and Bothell Pet Hospital.

This community program was organized by the team at the City of Bothell Police Department as part of their larger initiative to help protect our pets and keep them safe! Bothell Pet Hospital and Rainier Animal Fund were proud supporters.
