RAF and Mobile Pet Food Bank Lend a Helping Hand

The Rainier Animal Fund (RAF) In-Service Clinic held on Tuesday, July 28th at Beach Veterinary Hospital provided much-needed RAF In-Service June Clinicveterinary care to more
than 20 pets from qualifying, low-income pet owner families. Because of our amazing donors, we were able to help many pets get the medical care they needed while giving their pet owner families the peace of mind knowing their pets are now on the road to better health.

Special thanks to our volunteer doctors, technicians, assistants RAF In-Service June Clinicand client care specialists who all gave their time and performed essential dental care procedures along with spay/neuter services, a mass removal, senior annual exams, vaccines, x-rays and assessments of chronic health issues in participants’ pets.

Joining RAF onsite was the Mobile Pet Food Bank who were able to distribute more than 3,300 pounds of pet food and supplies to local families in need. The Mobile Pet Food Bank had representatives from all their Public/Private Partnership RAF In-Service June Clinicorganizations include Auburn Valley Humane Society, Pasado’s Safe Haven, Regional Animal Services of King County, Seattle Animal Shelter, Seattle Humane Society and the Washington Animal Control Association.

 

“Our clinic participants were able to be seen and cared for by our medical team, get their questions answered and have the peace of mind in knowing that their pets are on the path to better health,” said RAF Executive Director Dr. Debra Nicholson

The Rainier Animal Fund In-Service clinics are intended to provide a resource for those pets who are in need of advanced veterinary care that their family cannot fully afford. Participating pet patients will have access to needed veterinary care including medical procedures, spay/neuters, dental care and select surgical services.RAF In-Service June Clinic

Our inaugural Wellness clinic is set for Sunday, August 9th and will offer vaccines, microchips, flea preventatives and much needed general wellness exams for qualifying pet-owner families.

 

Rainier Animal Fund

The Rainier Animal Fund works to ensure veterinary care is accessible to Western Washington pets, so that they might thrive and live healthy, happy lives with the people who love them. This 501(c)(3) organization provides low cost and free medical veterinary care to families and pets in need through vaccine, health, and spay/neuter clinics.
